Wakeboarding in Miami

Go wakeboarding on Biscayne Bay with your own private wake boat, driver and coach. Beginners to pros — most first-timers are up and riding the same day. Want to wakesurf too? Do both in the same trip. Miami's skyline as your backdrop.

Venetian Marina, Pier 5

Downtown Miami, FL

Wakeboard Miami's skyline

A private, fully-crewed wake boat built for wakeboarding on Biscayne Bay. A clean, firm wake, warm flat water, and a driver who coaches you the whole way — strap in, hold the rope, and ride. New to it? You'll likely be up on your first session. Been riding for years? We'll shape the wake for airs and tricks. And because it's your own boat with all the gear aboard, you can wakesurf and tube on the same trip.

Wakeboard vs wakesurf

What's the difference? (And why not both.)

They happen behind the same boat at the same slow speed — but they feel completely different. Here's the simple version:

Wakeboarding

Feet strapped into bindings on one board, holding the rope the whole time. You ride the wake and can jump it for air. Closest thing to snowboarding on water — and the fastest watersport to stand up on, since the rope does a lot of the work.

Best first if you want to be up and riding fast.

Wakesurfing

No bindings, and once you're up you drop the rope and surf the boat's endless wave with your feet free. Closest thing to surfing or skateboarding. Takes a touch more balance to find the pocket — then it's pure, rope-free cruising.

Best if you want that endless-wave surf feeling.

Do one, or do both. It's your private boat with every board aboard, so there's no need to choose up front — wakeboard for a few sets, switch to wakesurf, throw the tube in between. We change the setup right on the water so everyone in the group rides what they want.

What you'll do

Your day on the water

  1. Wake boat docked at Venetian Marina, ready to go

    Step aboard

Meet at Venetian Marina, hop on the brand-new wake boat, quick safety briefing. Music on, skyline ahead.

  2. Cruising Biscayne Bay past the Brickell skyline

    Cruise out to flat water

Glide through Biscayne Bay past Brickell, downtown and private islands to the calm water where the wake runs clean.

  3. Beginner wakeboarding with personal coaching from the boat

    Strap in & ride

Your coach walks you through it from the boat — beginners are usually up on the first session. Then push it: ride the wake, jump it, link turns. Want to wakesurf instead? We switch boards on the spot.

  4. Tubing fun behind the wake boat

    Tubing & watersports

Not riding this set? Throw the tube on — fast, easy, guaranteed laughs for the whole group.

  5. Relaxing on the boat between rides

    Enjoy the good life

Between sets, jump in the warm water, relax, take photos, share a drink. The boat is yours.

  6. Dolphin spotted in Biscayne Bay

    Dolphins & sea life

Dolphins are often spotted in the bay. Warm, clear water year-round — every trip is a chance to see them.

  7. Cruising back to the marina with the Miami skyline behind

    Back home

Cruise back toward the marina with the skyline in front of you and that post-ride feeling that stays with you.
